How she got here

A M.Sc (Tech) in Bioinformatics who taught Biology, Physiology and Anatomy at an international school, while training and performing for more than twenty years as an Odissi classical dancer, Angira Chakravorty Dasgupta has had the most unusual journey to where she stands poised today.

In 2015, Angira founded Healing Rhyyithm, with the objective to provide a non-discriminatory therapeutic space for people across all socio-economic cultural spectrums.

Over the years, she has worked with more than 10,000 people – across individuals, academia, corporates, schools and NGOs – helping them move from fragmentation toward integration: emotionally, mentally and physically.

Her years of deep and diverse learning made Angira realise that what she could bring to people was more than the countless individual healing techniques she had mastered.

SVã flo is the outcome of Angira’s thirst to evolve a deeper, more integrated approach built on everything she had learnt along the way.

Her TEDx talk is Willingness to Wellness. Angira is based in Kolkata, and works with corporates, institutions and individuals across the country.

My work draws on body-mind practices, movement and energy healing. What holds it all together is older than any of them – the wisdom of the body and the inner knowing, leading us back to SVã – the self underneath the conditioning.

Angira Chakravorty Dasgupta – Founder, SVã flo

Arriving at SVã flo

SVã flo begins with the belief that healing is not about “fixing” people. It is about helping people return to themselves.

Angira’s work is rooted in a simple observation – most people are struggling not because they lack capability. They are struggling because stress, emotional overwhelm, unresolved experiences and constant external pressure slowly disconnect them from their body, emotions, expression and inner clarity.

She creates spaces that enable people to release stored stress, improve emotional awareness, and reconnect with their natural inner rhythms. Her experiential sessions and programmes help individuals emerge with self-expression and confidence, move beyond limiting internal patterns and rediscover emotional balance, authenticity and personal potential.

Inclusive and safe spaces are central to the work. Angira draws on queer affirmative counselling practices, trained at the Mariwala Health Initiative, and works with neurodiverse individuals.

SVã flo employs an integrated system that combines Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Expressive Arts Therapy, Sound Therapy, Dance Movement Therapy, Somatic practices, coaching and counselling. The system is designed to help individuals reconnect with themselves through embodiment, movement, emotional expression, nervous system safety and inner authenticity.

Behind the name

What SVã flo means.

Sva (स्व): A Sanskrit root word meaning “one’s own”. Sva represents your authentic nature, stripped of societal expectations, ego, or external noise. Not the self you present, rather the one underneath it.

“flo” (Flow): A state of deep focus, total involvement, and effortlessness. It represents liquidity, ease, and continuous movement.

“SVã flo” can be read as “The Flow of the Self.”

It is not a module, or a session, or a technique you book.

It is a Somatic Soul Integrated System on one level. And a symbolic coming together of ancient spiritual philosophy and modern psychology. It implies living in a state where your actions, thoughts, and life path align effortlessly with who you truly are.

SVã flo is for those who have lost the way back. As well as for those who know where they are but cannot see where to go.

The forces behind

Advisory board

They do not run sessions. Their guidance shapes how the work is thought about – long experience in psychology and in rhythm, brought to decisions Angira does not make alone.

NLP trainer and facilitator

Sudip holds a master’s degree in psychology and is an NLP trainer and certified master facilitator. Twenty-one years in the army and two as a vice-president of an airline sit behind the work he does now with organisations – leadership, negotiation, and adapting to change.
