FAQs
Questions I am often asked

General
- I help people reconnect their mind, body, emotions and the self underneath all of it. Most of the work happens through the body rather than around it – movement, sound, expressive arts – with coaching and counselling tools behind it.
- ‘Soma’ is the body and what it carries – stress, emotion and experience, held in the nervous system, not in words. ‘Soul’ or SVã is the self underneath the conditioning. Most people are functioning perfectly well and disconnected from both. The work puts them back in contact. The System is the method. What you actually receive is Somatic Soul Integrated Therapy – the same work, in the room, with you.
- No. Nobody is being assessed and nothing is being performed. I have seen people who were certain they could not dance, dance. Freely, even if for a few minutes, in a room full of others. That is the whole of it.
- It is not a substitute for clinical treatment, and I will say so if that is what someone needs. What I offer is a structured, experiential process for people who are functioning and running low – and it sits alongside therapy comfortably when someone is already in it.
- The shape is fixed and you will know it in advance; what happens inside it is built around whoever is in the room. We arrive, we move, we make something or make sound, and we close. You leave with something you can use on Monday.
- We aim to finish with you. Some people come for one session, some for a course of four to six. The work is meant to end, and I will tell you if I feel you do not need another session.
- Anyone looking for a diagnosis, a cure, or a promise that a difficult thing will stop being difficult. I do not do any of those.
- The first consultation starts at ₹3,500 for a 60 minute session. Signature Therapies are priced separately, by the therapy and by whether it is booked one to one, as a couple, or for a group.
Corporates
- It is not motivation and it is not a temporary lift. It works on the nervous system and on behaviour, and neither of those varies by job title. Seniority does not exempt anyone from their own physiology.
- Most leadership development works at the level of skill. This works at the level behaviour comes from. Leading is not only a cognitive job – a room reads the state a leader walks in carrying long before it hears what they say.
- Nobody has to agree with it first, because it is experiential rather than explained. The person who arrives certain this is not for them is very often the one who asks when the next one is.
- There is no price list for organisations. What it costs depends on the scope, how long we run for, and how many people are in the room. Tell me what you are trying to change and I will put a figure to it.
- Anything from two hours to two days. There is no preset answer – it depends on what needs to shift. I will recommend a shape once I understand the challenge you are bringing me.
- From a single leadership team to a hall of a few hundred. I can comfortably handle both extremes.
- Wherever your people already are – your offices, or an offsite. Much of this work happens away from my studio, so for a team it comes to you.
- No. A wellness day is an event. SVã flo is a system. The difference matters, because the thing you are trying to change is not going to move in an afternoon of talks. It has to last longer.
Schools & Institutions
- Because a regulated adult has to be in the room before anything else works. Most wellbeing programmes start with the students; I start with the adults in the building.
- There is no fixed fee. It depends on the scope, how long we run for, and how many staff are taking part. Tell me what you are dealing with and I will put a figure to it.
- Anything from two hours to two days. There is no preset answer – it depends on what the school needs. I will recommend a shape once I understand the challenge you are bringing me.
- From a single department to a full staff room. Group size changes how a session is built, not whether it works.
- Yes and no. Do I talk to the staff? Yes. Are these one-on-ones? No. This is a structured, experiential process for people who are functioning and running low – which describes a great many staff rooms.
- On your campus, usually. Much of this work happens in client offices and at schools rather than at my studio, so it comes to you.
