Cookies Policy.

Most websites carry a dozen or more cookies, and most of them are there to watch you. This one does not.

In short: this site sets two analytics cookies and nothing else beyond what the site needs to work. There are no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies. Nothing about you is sold, shared, or used to follow you anywhere else, and nobody here can tell who you are from any of it. What the analytics do is count.

This site (svaflo.com) is operated by SVã flo, the practice of Angira Chakravorty Dasgupta. SVã flo is a trading name rather than a separate registered company. This policy sits alongside the Privacy Policy.

A cookie is a small piece of data a site stores on your device. Some last only until you close your browser; others stay until they expire or you clear them. They are how a site remembers that this request and the last one came from the same person.

Only what it needs to function. Verified against the live site rather than described from a template:

No Meta pixel. No advertising tag. No heatmap or session recorder. No embedded video or map that sets a cookie of its own. No social share button that reports back.

Nobody is paid for what you read here, so there is nothing to sell and nothing to measure for an advertiser. The analytics above count how the site is read; they are not used to target you with anything, here or anywhere else.

Angira uses Google Analytics to see how many people read the site, which pages they read, and roughly where they arrive from. It is how she knows whether any of this is reaching anyone.

What it is not is a record of you. She does not see your name, your email address, or anything you have written to her, and she cannot pick you out of the numbers. What she sees is counts.

Google Analytics is run by Google, and the information it gathers is held on Google’s systems, which are outside India.

If you would rather not be counted, you can block cookies for this site in your browser’s own settings, use your browser’s private or incognito mode, or install Google’s own opt-out add-on. Any of the three works, and none of them stops the rest of the site working.

Cloudflare, on the contact page and nowhere else. The enquiry form carries an anti-spam check called Turnstile, which works out whether a form is being filled in by a person or by a script. It is invisible unless it needs you to confirm something. Loading it means your browser makes a request to Cloudflare, and every request to every server carries your IP address and some basic details about your browser. It sets no cookie here and stores nothing on your device – checked on the live page rather than taken on trust. What you write is not sent to Cloudflare: when you press send, this site asks Cloudflare only whether the check passed. What Cloudflare does with what it receives is governed by Cloudflare’s own privacy policy.

Those are the two.

The contact form sets no cookie, and it posts to this site rather than to anybody else. The one thing on that page that comes from outside is the Cloudflare check described above. If anything else is added later – a booking tool, a video, a different anti-spam check – this page will be updated before it goes live, and it will say what the tool is and what it stores.

Every browser lets you block cookies, clear them, or set rules about how long they last. Look for Privacy or Site Settings in your browser’s preferences.

Blocking cookies on this site costs you nothing at all. You would not notice any difference.

This page will be updated if what the site stores changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will change with it.
